Team GT 2011

I have worked closely with ex-Blazin' Squad members 'Primo' and 'Melo' creating images for their new franchise 'TeamGT'.

In their own words:

“Team GT is a franchise, tapping into all forms of business mainly music, events and clothing. The Team was founded in late 2010 by Marcel (Primo) Somerville, Chris (Melo) McKeckney and Perry (B.A.G.P)  Watson-McNab as a means for the team’s music and personal love for going "IN!" to be seen and heard. The initial idea behind The Team was to put on events so they could allow people to experience what it is like to party when your part of the GT!

Primo and Melo formerly of the noughties Chart Topping - Blazin Squad - Who had 7 Top Ten Singles including a UK No1, 2 Gold selling albums and sellout UK tours, are currently working on Team GT's first independent album release "IN!" with their first single "VaIN!" being released later this year.

The Team have also started a clothing line "GT DefIN!tion" which is available to purchase from their online store (www.streetshirts.co.uk/GTDefIN!tion) and will be putting on more GT "IN!" nights up and down the country throughout the year.

The thoughts behind this shoot:

I wanted to create something urban but not a typical 'rude-boy wannabe' look.  I wanted the images to look stylish but not like we were trying to force a 'we are from the ghetto' look lol.  I thought carefully about the location so it still displayed an inner-urban area but more towards a retro feel.  I emphasised a lot of the colours when retouching after to make the images appear more funky and fun.
