MUdDZ Sparkle Wellington Boots 2011

This year I have worked with MUdDZ Sparkle to create images that featured their wellington boots as the main focus of the image.

For this image I wanted to create quite a simple image with the model looking down towards her feet to bring more attention to the wellies.  In retouching I made the colours softer but enhanced the colours of the wellies to make them stand out more than the rest of the image.

I chose this image as again it is very simple but the angle of the feet is perfect as it not only shows the pattern on the wellies but it displays the MUdDZ logo on the heel.
For this image I wanted something slightly different.  I love working with the natural light and this location was perfect as it allowed only a small bit of light to enter where the model was creating a large natural spotlight.  The shadows behind the model add that 'sweaty' look that I like that made the image sexier.  As the sun was low in the sky the colours it produced were more reds and orange rather than white and yellow - my fave! In retouching you can tell I did a lot of work on the boots to ensure they were the key focus.

Obviously a completely different day, not the greatest of weather but it was perfect for this shoot.  I could have retouched it and added more sunlight/colour etc but I liked this slightly dull weather as it made the image more realistic.

Again a very different day, was very cloudy but this added to the overall image.  I lowered the saturation during retouching to make the image more dull but I felt this created a more delicate feel and it has become one of my personal faves.  The model looks slightly worried/lost and this creates a kind of 'princess pose' to match the pattern on her wellies.
This image has become very popular and I always hear that it's people's favourite image.  I think that the colours in this photo are perfect as in retouching I altered them to be quite dull as I wanted a 60's feel to the final colouring.  This image, I feel, now looks more delicate and classy.
I LOVE this image.  To create this I used the 'fisheye' tool but only applied it very very slightly to create a look that feels as though the picture is collapsing in on itself at the top.  By doing this I have brought attention to the base of the image, the wellington boots.  I have altered the colours in retouching and again I worked laboriously on the boots to make them extra shining with brighter reflections in them.
This is a similar image but I wanted to get more in it and have the model closer to the boots.  I took a ridiculous amount of shots to get the wind to blow the hair in this way as I wanted tassles and hair to be everywhere.
This picture was taken at sunset, hence the very low light.  In retouching I emphasised the orange/red colours to show that it was taken as the sun was setting and this gave a sexy warm glow to the image and took it to a different level than would have been possible earlier in the day.
