When shooting jewellery, the focus of the image needs to be on the model's jewellery at all times, I find it is difficult to do this as I battle to go against the number one rule of always having the focus on the model's eyes and moving it to the jewellery. In retouching I worked on the jewellery to show more detail.
I really enjoy working with two models, watching the awkwardness of them getting to know eachother is priceless, but once we get going it's really fun shouting at them to both do roughly the same thing lol. I love this image as there is so much detail. I am very visual and I like a lot of different textures in my images, it add different levels to the photograph. Although this image was taken in the height of the British summer, I like the warmth of the chosen clothing as it allows for this image to also be used in Autumn/Winter editions.
Now for this image I wanted to create a 'Snow Queen' look. As an aspiring make-up artist as well, I have always wanted to be let loose on someone's face and create this look! Personally I love this image but a lot of the detail in it was created during retouching phases.
I went for a hot and sexy feel for this image. As usual, I went for a sun-set sunlight, creating the red/orange natural light. As the sun was low this created darker, more prominant, shadows and added to the depth of the image.
This image was to focus solely on the jewellery - something I should do more of as I get lost in creating a larger more complex image sometimes. This picture is effortlessly good as it does what is says on the tin.To view more or to purchase some WISH Jewellery http://www.wishhandmadejewellery.co.uk/
